The Wrong Way To Market Online
What I see a lot of people doing (and I did this myself for a long time) is they come into network marketing and immediately begin blasting their company all over social media. This happens for a couple of reasons.
#1 People see their upline doing this and automatically think it’s the best way to go so they just follow suit.
#2 People think that by puking their company name all over everything and everyone that it will get them more signups.
#3 They don’t feel they can make any sales unless everyone knows what company and products they are promoting.
I’m here to tell you that this is the wrong way to do it and you will never stand out if you go about your marketing in this manner. What you have to realize is that although network marketing companies may teach you about prospecting, they don’t teach effective marketing.
If you really want to stand out, the best thing you can do is to begin branding yourself.
Why Brand Yourself?
Think about it this way. How many consultants are there for the network marketing company you are with? Now, think how many are online doing the same thing you are…. trying to build their business. So if you’re all online trying to gain customers and business partners, what makes you stand out? Why should someone do business with you over someone else if you’re all doing the same thing?
See, when you begin to understand that your business is YOU and NOT the mlm you’re with, you’ll realize that branding yourself is the only way to separate yourself from your competition.
Remember that people buy products from brands they like and trust so YOU must become the brand people love. By branding yourself, you will begin developing trust, authority, and credibility in the eyes of your prospect and that equals them buying your stuff!
You Are Your Greatest Asset!
MLM Marketing Tips
The best thing you can do is use attraction marketing principles. You want to lead with value, put out free content on a daily basis that educates and solves the problems of those you are trying to attract. This can be in the form of a video, blog post, status update, article, etc. but the goal is to think about their pains and problems and then help them! This is how you will begin to stand out. This is how you will begin to build a massive following. This is how you will be able to absolutely dominate!
People will begin following you because you are adding value to their lives and because you are helping them (just wanted to restate that)! You’re not out there pitching and being spammy(like so many others), you’re solving their problems and because of that, they will do business with you over someone out there who is a pitch person!
If you better learn branding, you’re going to more easily build that company. You’re going to more easily build exposure to that company. -Ray Higdon
Before you ask, NO…. you don’t have to have some impressive resume to do this. No one cares if you’re a seven figure earner so you can begin branding yourself the right way from day 1 by following these mlm marketing tips.

You are so right Sherri. When I started online, I didn’t know how to market effectively, so I did what I saw other people doing of Facebook. Just spamming the groups and their wall with their business opportunity but providing no real value.
