If you don’t know by now, video marketing is one of THE MOST POWERFUL strategies you can implement into your business.
If I had to pinpoint one thing that really gave my business a huge boost, it’s when I consistently started creating videos. However, I’ve talked to hundreds of people who have one major hold up. They are scared, nervous, and don’t want to do them unless they’re perfect.
You have to understand that if you wait for things to be perfect, you’ll be waiting forever. You are your own worst critic and you’re not as relatable or duplicatable if every video looks like it was made out of Hollywood. Just sayin…..
You must get over this sense of wanting everything to be great, your hair perfect, your makeup on point, etc. and focus on your message. Focus on what you want to get across so that you can help others and make an impact.
My first several videos weren’t good at all! I was nervous, I was sweating, I think I hyperventilated a few times even, but I just did it! You must push through that fear and understand that if you want to explode your business and your brand, you have to get out of your own way and be like Nike and Just Do It!! (funny but true)
I’ll tell you what’s super cool (and a little funny to me as well) is within the last two weeks alone, I’ve had three people come up to me while I was out and about, asking if I was “Sherri Brown” or “Are you the one that does videos on Facebook?” Trust me, this never would have happened had I not got out of my head and just started.
If you want people to work with you, then you have to create trust with them and the best way to build that know, like, trust factor with a large amount of people at once is by doing video! Only then can someone get a sense of who you are and what you’re about.

I’ve heard a quote that says “Competence breeds confidence,” so true. & spot on with the perfection part too, Ray Higdon’s analogy is awesome when he said that really good swimmers didn’t wait until they were good to get in the water & start swimming, they had to get in the water to get good!
