All of these tips came from Ray Higdon’s 3 Minute Expert Course and I love how he really simplified everything by giving powerful tips that really make a big difference, without all the fluff!  If you want to know how to become an authority, no matter your niche, I would highly recommend you check it out.  Now…on to those secrets 

#1 If you’re pitching an offer, know it’s value and be able to talk about what it does

See, most people make the mistake of talking about what their product is (it’s an eye cream, it’s a weight loss shake, it’s a travel club, etc) but the more powerful (and smarter) way is to talk about what it does!  

Yea, it may be a weight loss shake (what it is) but what it does is allow you to lose that baby weight and get back in your old clothes that you’ve been hanging on to.  What it does is boost your confidence so that you feel better about yourself and when you feel better, you’re more productive.  See where I’m going with this?  It doesn’t matter what your offer is, always talk about what it’s going to DO for your prospect!  How will it make them feel?

#2 Don’t do the guru thing

The guru thing is to only email your list when you’re trying to promote or launch something new.  Don’t be ‘that guy’.  Think about how often your target market is seeking for help and information.  Yep, that would be pretty much daily.  Now, I don’t personally email my list daily but I do about 3-4 times a week and then I’m always on my Facebook Fan Page giving helpful information.  

#3 Get them to raise their hand more than pushing them to a sales page

An example would be to say something like… P.S Reply back if you have any interest in working with me on a side project. 

OR…

P.S We’re rolling out a new product, reply back if you’d like a sneak peak.  

Make sense?  

#4 The “No-Link” email

This is one email that Ray mentioned that will typically get more engagement than any others but remember to not include a link!

An example would be: Just a quick email to see how I can best help you.  Reply back with the #1 struggle you’re currently having and I’ll do my best to help.

#5 Don’t give too many options

Only give 1 or 2 things to click on in any email you send out.  Usually, if you give too many options, chances are they won’t click on any.

#6 Links

When you’re including links in your emails, it’s typically best to have them say “Click Here” or “Watch Here” versus just having your standard url link.  

#7 Email naturally

Don’t have every email you send out trying to sell your audience something.  Be natural!  Like on social media, you want to take them on a journey and share pictures and stories.  

You also don’t want to go long periods without emailing your list.  A great tip he shared was to pretend as if your list was paying you a monthly fee.
