#1 Don’t be an A-hole
I know, I know, this seems like common sense but in actuality, it needs to be said. There is simply no point in ever being a jerk to someone else.
Also understand that everyone is fighting their own battles that you know nothing about and therefore as the saying goes, “If you can’t add to someone’s life, don’t take away from it.”
#2 Don’t be an Ask-hole
Don’t be the person who goes around asking tons of questions and for advice but never listen to it. Be mindful of not only your own time but someone else’s as well.
#3 Don’t give unsolicited advice
It’s always good practice to ask someone’s permission before you start giving advice that might be unwanted. I implement this even when it comes to giving free training to people.
#4 Be nice and not demanding
It’s like the old saying “It’s easier to catch flies with honey than with vinegar.”
If you want something, I can assure you that you’ll get much further by being nice rather than ugly or demanding of someone.
Remember that no matter what business you’re building you’re dealing with another human being! Treat people how you would want to be treated or better yet, how you would want someone to treat your parents or your children!
