5 Simple Ways To Monetize Your Blog

How would you like to know a few simple ways to monetize your blog?  

Today, I’ll be sharing several tips I picked up from Ray Higdon’s blogging course, 3 Minute Expert.  I must add that if you’re wanting to learn the ins and outs of blogging from one of the top bloggers out there, consider grabbing it!

5 Simple Ways To Monetize Your Blog

1. Sidebar Area

If you’re viewing this from a desktop and look over to the right hand side, you’ll see several options available.  You can add products specific to your niche, training courses, free resources that lead to capture pages (where you can get a prospects contact information), and even display an Evergreen Webinar (one that may appear live but is actually recorded).  

2. P.S Line

At the end of every blog post that you do, have a P.S. line (you can see I have one in all of mine if you’d like an example).  This is a simple tip Ray gave but one he said has made him lots of money over the years.  

It’s also important to note that you always want this linked to a low cost offer!

3. Links To Books & Relevant Products

When writing blog posts, anytime that you reference a book or product, be sure to add a clickable link to it.  For example, a while back I did a book review on Go For No because it completely changed my outlook on failure and hearing the “no’s” from those who didn’t want to join me in business.  As you can see, if you click on the name of the book, it takes you to Amazon where you can purchase it.

If you’re writing a blog post about what exercise equipment you’re using for a particular workout, include those links to not only make it easier for your readers to view but for them to buy as well. You can also reference any training courses, like I did above when I said these tips came from Ray’s blogging course.

Becoming an affiliate of Amazon is free and easy.  Just Go Here, fill out the information and BAM….you’re ready to go!

4. Home Page/Products Page

Your Home Page is a great place (and often left out) when it comes to blog monetization.  Here you can feature some of your most popular products or your giveaway (free resource that you give when people give you their contact information).

If you have created your own products or are an affiliate of products or training created by others, feature those on your Products Page.  Look at mine for an example of how you can do this on your own blog.      

5. Work With Me Tab

If you have a way for people to work more closely with you in your business, it’s great to have a Work With Me tab where they can learn more.  If you’re in network marketing and you’re looking to grow your team, include this and have a way for prospects to fill out an application or contact you.  If you offer any type of coaching, add that to the page.  There are lots of options for this so get creative.
