Today I wanted to share two things that you can leverage to grow your business online. A lot of people spend a large amount of time focusing on activities that aren’t moving them forward and that’s no good!
So, with that being said, the two things you CAN leverage are TIME & MONEY! Let’s dive in.
Two Things You Can Leverage to Grow Your Business Online
Example #1: You have a lot of time, but you don’t have a lot of money
This is common for a lot of business owners in the beginning. In this case, what you want to do is focus more on free strategies.
Income-producing activities are one of the free strategies you can use. This includes putting out valuable content, doing Facebook lives, recording videos to post, and using social media to grow your audience.
Another free strategy is having conversations, and I mean really ramping it up, and talking with more people. This is something that’s definitely crucial when it comes to growing your business and creating profits. It’s having conversations and getting what you’re offering in front of more people. So, more eyeballs and more exposures on what you have to offer.
Example #2: You have very limited time, but you have more money
When you get to the point where you have more money to invest, this is where it can get fun, and you can actually start using paid strategies.
With paid strategies, you can:
- Run Facebook ads
- Focus on building up your fan page
- Put out content
- Get certain aspects of your marketing in place
- Create a funnel
- Offer a free training
With paid strategies, you can use ads as a way to get out there and be one to many, versus one to one. You may not be able to have as many conversations if you’re limited on time, but you can definitely utilize money that you have to create and start using ads.
And if you find that you need more help due to limited time, outsourcing is a great way to get more done. Now, I know that outsourcing may be a little scary because you may not know where to go to get reliable help. So, I put together some information to help you with that in my outsourcing training.
Example #3: You don’t have a lot of time and don’t have a lot of money
This is one thing that’s pretty important; maybe you don’t have either. Maybe you think, “I don’t have a lot of time to build my business, and I really don’t have a lot of money.” If that’s you, just understand that it is going to take you quite a bit longer. So, do not expect overnight results. Definitely trust in the journey, trust in the process.
Now here’s one thing I will tell you, especially for those of you who might say, “I’ve got a lot of time, but I don’t have any money right now to really invest.”: Although you may not have any ad budget now, you definitely need to look at starting to create one.
So as you’re growing your business, as you start to increase your sales, and you start to make a little bit more money, you’re definitely going to want to put aside a portion of that money to start creating an ad budget. And that’s exactly what I did.
When I first got started, I was with a particular network marketing company at that time, and I really didn’t have a whole lot of money. So in the beginning, I had a very small budget ($0), and I just had a little bit more time, being a stay-at-home mom. And so what I did was, I focused on creating and just putting out a lot of content and having a lot of conversations.
Then as my money grew, I knew I could start investing in ads. I started off with a very small ad budget. Then as I got some signups and made a little bit of profit, I decided to invest $100 a month to start running Facebook ads to really grow my audience.
Now, I actually have a decent ad budget (or at least I think so). But again, I’m looking to continue to scale that by quadrupling what I’m spending now on ads just because I know the power of them. You can really get your stuff in front of laser targeted prospects by using ads. If you aren’t sure where to begin on this, there is a lot of training in the back office the marketing system I use which you can check out a review on it here.
Those are really the two things you have to leverage as a business owner. You either have TIME, or you have MONEY. And depending on what you have, that’s where you need to figure out what your strategy is going to be. What are you going to do to create more time or to create more money to spend on your business to eventually scale it?
Because here’s the deal, it’s like Ray Higdon says, “You can’t scale free.” And he’s right! Keep that in mind if you don’t have an ad budget. That’s something you’re definitely going to want to consider doing. And I know for me personally, the more I’ve invested, the more I’ve been able to make and scale in my business.
So, do what you can do with what you have, and then what you want to do is just grow from there. This means you’ll have to get specific things set up in place.
I hope you guys got some value from this, and if you did, please free to share it out.
