What you would do if you recruited twenty people into your business next week? Would you be ecstatic and know exactly what to do or would you be overwhelmed at the time it’s going to take to train them all?
If the thought of not knowing what to do is overwhelming, it may be because you don’t have a good enough system in place that allows you to create the duplication you need.
If you want to create success in your Network Marketing business, it is imperative that you create more duplication!! To achieve this, you must become a tools and resources driven team, PERIOD.
What is Duplication?
Duplication in your business means that it will run without a hitch, even if you are not there. I’ve met a lot of people who want to be the ‘queen bee’ or ‘big daddy’ and have everyone come to them for everything. The problem with this is that by being the ‘know-it-all’, it’s creating dependency and this is the exact opposite of duplication.
Have you ever played that game before where everyone sits in a circle and the first person tells the one beside him/her a sentence and then that person tells the next person and so on? Then, at the end, the last person restates the sentence and it’s no where near close to what the first person said.
Now, let’s take the same concept and apply it to your network marketing company. Say someone in your downline calls you and asks you how to run a home meeting. You sit there for thirty minutes explaining exactly how to do it step by step, you get off the phone and 100% of the time, they will not remember everything you said, they will forget important details, etc.
You agree? Now, let’s talk about how to create more duplication!
How To Create More Duplication
Before learning this method, I wasted a TON of time puking all over prospects about every detail regarding my opportunity.
I found that I was honestly wasting soooo much of my time and my time is Valuable (as is Yours)! I learned to create more duplication in my business by working smarter not harder.
NOW, when I’m speaking to a prospect and they’ve told me they’re open to hearing more, instead of sitting there blabbing on and on, I let my tools do the work for me (this is duplication). Most companies have some type of presentation prospects can tune in to and that’s exactly what I use. I send them a video that does the work for me.
After they’ve watched the video, I then continue to ask questions to determine if it’s a fit or not. If they join me, I will walk them through the process online and afterwards I will send them to a PowerPoint Presentation I created for new consultants which tells them everything they need to know about getting started.
It tells them where to go to do the company training, it gives them important phone numbers, tips, etc. Then, (this is very important to jot it down) I tell them, “Now, when you add someone to YOUR team, you send them this same presentation.” You see what I just did?? I created duplication AND I taught my new business partner how to create duplication as well.
If someone asks me how to run a home meeting, I’ll send them a video they can watch that explains it and tell them to do the same when someone on their team asks them.
If you want to create duplication, start pointing your team to resources and tell them to do the same with their team. You don’t have to know everything, you just have to know how to find the resources you need!!
Now that you know what how to become more duplicable, it’ll be E-Z Breezy when you recruit those twenty new business partners, right?
It’s the old saying, “If You Teach to Teach, You Can Go to the Beach.”
