Do you find yourself getting frustrated when you’re prospecting because the last 8 people you talked to either ignored you or said they weren’t interested? I completely get it, you were told to make a list and you expected it would be easier than it is. I talk to quite a few people each day and I’ve found that many of them struggle with prospecting and recruiting. That’s why today I wanted to share some mlm tips on setting and knowing the proper expectations when it comes to this area.

Prospecting and Recruiting Tips:
If you want to get better at recruiting, you’ve got a couple of choices. You can either start studying prospecting and recruiting strategies that will develop your skills or you can get better at marketing so people start reaching out to you. If you’re using social media, you’ll want to learn some marketing skills to make you stand out as I’ve seen more and more going about it the wrong way. I’ll point out that I did it wrong for a long time but I got smart, started learning some more effective ways and that has worked well for me.
It’s important to manage peoples expectations before they join. You’ll want to find out what their goals are and what they are expecting to get out of it. For example, if you recruit someone and they say they are expecting to making $5000 a month within 3 months but they can’t put a lot of time into it, then you’ll want to correct that beforehand.
If you’re prospecting someone who was with a previous network marketing company (Ray Higdon had a great suggestion for this), find out why they felt the last one didn’t work. By digging a little deeper, you can uncover what they believed caused them to fail. This will allow you to do a little mindset training from the beginning.
Another tip is to never convince anyone to join you. I totally get it as I’ve convinced people too but I will never do it again. Dale Carnegie said, “Those convinced against their will are of the same opinion still.” In order for someone to work, they must be open and want it for themselves, you can’t want it for them or it just won’t end well.

Great quote by Dale Carnegie! Also, I agree that you must not convince people to join you, but let them decide for themselves if its a fit or not. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Adewale!
Great post Sherri
If you convince people to join they will be energy drainers you don’t want to have. When you find people who add to your energy on your team, they will stay and be loyal
