MLM Tips: One of the Best Qualities You Can Possess as an Entrepreneur

Do you ever wonder what really separates those who are ultra-successful from those who never seem to make it in the industry? Today, I’m going to tackle that question and discuss one of the best qualities that you can possess as an entrepreneur.

MLM Tips: One of the Best Qualities You Can Possess as an Entrepreneur

A student in our Total Marketing Immersion program (one of the courses we created for those we coach and mentor inside this marketing system) messaged me recently because she had been laid off from her job and was looking for ways to cut down on some of her expenses. She asked “If I cancel my membership, can I take everything with me?”

I went over the steps to cancel her membership, and I told her “It’s totally up to you if you want to cancel but we can definitely get the cost of your membership covered. This is how you do it.” She confided that she didn’t want to cancel, though she felt like she had to in the end.

This is One Extra Bonus Tip

Occasionally there are customers who want to cancel their autoship. There’s also people who excitedly join as business partners, and never do anything with their business. But, here’s what you need to do: Always leave people better than you left them. Never be ugly about it. Ugliness burns bridges.

The next morning, she messaged me to say that she had panicked, and was worried. She went through her home, and sold items to earn enough money to get her membership going again.

Ability to Figure Things Out

I say that one of the best qualities that you can possess as an entrepreneur (something I learned from Ray Higdon originally) is the ability to figure things out. If you aren’t sure how to do something, know that there are people out there who can help you. They can get you to where you want to go, while answering your questions.

The First Thing You Should Ask:

  • What are you struggling with in your business?
  • Is it a money issue?
  • Is it about prospecting?
  • Are you struggling with the marketing aspect?

Whatever it is that you’re struggling with in your business, understand that you hold the key of moving past that. It’s about figuring things out, even when you’re not sure what you’re doing.

When I started my business, I didn’t know how to open an online company. I didn’t know about network marketing, despite holding a master’s in business. But for me—I figured it out.

That’s when I began to invest in courses. Of course it wasn’t always easy. Occasionally, there were classes that I wanted to take but couldn’t afford. But, I asked myself better questions instead, like “What can I do to earn enough money to buy the course?” I borrowed money, used credit cards, and I sold things around the house that were collecting dust.

I shouldn’t leave out my issue with technology! I’m not tech savvy by any stretch of the imagination.

Total Marketing Immersion was a huge boot camp where I teamed up other leaders in the industry. A big part of that course revolved about technical aspects, such as getting certain systems setup. Because of my lack of talent in technology, I was able to figure it out by outsourcing.

So, don’t allow yourself to become discouraged. Leave your excuses at the door.

For me, the biggest thing that upset me when my student cancelled her membership had nothing to do with actually cancelling it. It was heartbreaking because she had put so much time, effort, and energy into getting particular things setup. I was sad when she cancelled, as it felt as if she was giving up on herself.

That’s why I applauded her for having the courage to come back today. She decided to persevere, even in one of the most difficult of circumstances. She realizes that she needs the skill set to build the business of her dreams—so that she can take care of her family.

It’s exactly like what Marie Forleo brilliantly stated: “Everything is figureoutable.”

  1. Love that piece of advice to always leave people better than when you left them.

People leave for various reasons and if you treat them with respect and dignity, they will come back and join you again
