Have you been wondering how to get more traffic and generate more leads for your business? If so, you might consider jumping into the crazy world of video marketing. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know I’m pretty big into video marketing as I think it’s a great way to allow people to see the real you. Incorporating videos into your business is also (in my opinion) the best way to increase your brand awareness as more people are apt to watch a video versus reading just written text.

Check out the infographic below (this was for 2015) to discover the power behind adding video into your marketing strategy. I personally resisted video for a while but I knew that in order to reach more people, I would have to get uncomfortable. It wasn’t easy at first, but now, I’m a lot more comfortable in front of the camera (or should I say my phone) and I can also tell you that videos have really impacted my business for the better!
9 Video Marketing Tips:
1. Be consistent! Just like losing weight, if you want to gain momentum and increase engagement, you must be consistent. Just shooting a video every once in a while isn’t going to give you the results you are looking for. At least not as quickly as if you were creating several a week.
2. Before shooting your video, have a clear purpose in mind and then speak to your perfect person. When you are creating a message that people want to hear and that will help to solve their problems, it will make a big difference in the outcome. When I’m talking to people, I always ask them what they feel they are struggling with in their business. By doing this, I constantly am getting ideas on what content to talk about.
Try doing this yourself by talking to people in your target market and then create a running list of problems that you can begin solving by doing short videos. This is a much more effective strategy than simply posting, “I’m placing an order on Friday! Who wants something?”
3. Have a clear Call To Action in all of your videos. Ideally, this would be to a lead capture page where they can enter their name and email and therefore become a lead. If you do not have a lead capture page, then you can simply tell them to reach out to you via email, message, by phone, etc. as this is better than not having one at all.
