6 Social Media Success Tips To Help You Stand Out

I’ve done a lot of training over the past year to really learn what sets people apart and why some create success and others don’t.  All of these are things I’ve personally done that have made a huge difference in my own business and therefore I thought they would help you too.

#1 Connect with people on a daily basis

Part of Network Marketing is you actually have to go out there and “Network”.  Go through your suggested friends on facebook, go to different pages or groups that have the same audience hanging out that you want to attract and begin connecting with people inside.

Set some type of goal to connect with a certain amount of people each day.  Whether that be 5 people, 10 people, etc. then send them a friend request and follow that up with a message.  Jessica Higdon gave some great advice when she said the first message is always to strike up a conversation and make a friend.  Never go straight for a pitch on message one or you’ll likely waste your time and have people ignoring you.

#2 Create daily pieces of content that’s going to serve your target audience.

This is a big one that I learned from Ray Higdon and also from the marketing system I use.  See, most people think their content is slapping up a sales pitch and talking about how awesome this product or that product is but it just doesn’t work.  Your content should be value driven and educational.  Your goal should be a resource for people, not for them to just think of you as a salesperson.

Content could be as simple as a status update or it could be a video, blog post, fb live, periscope, article, etc.

#3 Follow the 80-20 rule

This is something I’ve known but while going through Tanya Aliza’s facebook course, was reiterated.  80% of your posts need to be value driven and educational while only 20% need to be promotional.

One thing Tanya was talking about was the fact that most people who come on line to grow a business, fail because this ratio is way off.  So they do waaaay more pitching and promoting than giving value.  So in essence, they’re making it all about them when it’s not, it’s about your prospects.
