Ever wonder what in the world the hype is all about when it comes to blogging? That was definitely me as I kept hearing top people in the Network Marketing industry talk about why you need a blog. I kept putting it off and putting it off because I honestly didn’t realize the power behind it.
I then signed up for a webinar a couple of months back and it was about, guess what…..blogging! I finally decided to step outside of my comfort zone and really be open to hearing why you need a blog in the first place. As you can see, I decided to take the plunge or you wouldn’t be on my blog right now reading the 5 reasons why you need a blog. 5 Reasons Why You Need a Blog
- A Blog Brands YOU! It brands you as a leader with Authority and Credibility. Once you find out who your target market is, you can then find out what they want and then give it to them. This is called Attraction Marketing! My target market are Network Marketers (or those looking to start a home based business). I teach and inspire them by giving them valuable information that will help them grow their business. By adding value to the marketplace, your audience will come to know, like, and trust you!
- Higher quality leads! With a blog, you’ll typically get higher quality leads as people are coming to you and opting in to get your information. It allows you to attract the right kind of people because you are leveraging the internet to find people who are searching for what you have. It also creates less objections and people aren’t as skeptical which allows you to build a relationship with that group who want what you have.
- You Own It! A blog is your own piece of real estate on the internet. It’s yours and no one can take it away. Unlike free services like Facebook, IG, YouTube, and other social media sites that can be shut down if you do something wrong. I’ve never had mine personally shut down (knock on wood) but I do know people who have and it can be stressful.
- More money for you. Blogging allows you to create an additional income stream for yourself and it’s constantly working for you nonstop (even in your sleep)! I’ve heard Ray Higdon on many occasions say that he still generates money from blog posts he created five years ago. Crazy right?
- Creates a Bank of Resources. Once you create a blog, it’s out on internet land forever! This is great for duplication purposes when building a team. For example, if someone comes to me and asks me why they need to blog, instead of sitting there spending 15 minutes telling them all of the reasons why they should, I can simply send them the link to this blog post! I’ve saved time, created a resource for myself, and it’s something they can go back over and read as many times as they want.
