MLM Tips: Simple Way to See Who Is Willing to Work

Do you feel frustrated because you’re spending tons of time with people on your team who might say they’re serious, but when push comes to shove, they’re just not taking action?  Trust me, if that’s you, I totally get it – been there, done that.

MLM Tips: Simple Way to See Who Is Willing to Work

So today, I want to share a super simple tip that’s really going to help you determine the people who are going to work versus the ones who aren’t.

You know the people I’m talking about, too; The ones who come to you asking for advice, you give them the advice they need, you tell them what to do, and then nothing ever happens.

So, I want to share a super awesome tip that I learned.  I’m not a hundred percent sure who I got this from, but if I would have to guess, I’d say it came from Ray Higdon.

This one simple tip that I learned has definitely helped me to leverage my time.  More importantly, it also helped me decipher the ones who are willing to work and the ones who aren’t.  Because let’s face it, there are a lot of people who say they’re serious about building their business, but when push comes to shove, they’re all talk, right?

So, how do you eliminate that?  My number one tip:  Give them homework.

Yes, that’s right, give them a task to do.  If someone comes to you for help, tell them what to do and ask them to report back once they’re done.

That’s going to tell you who you need to be spending time with.  Because if you tell somebody to go out and do something (you give them homework), and if they don’t do it, how serious are they really? You know what I mean?

So, let’s be real:  Your time is valuable!  Time is something you can’t get back.  I was tired of spinning my wheels and I’m sure you are to when it comes to those who don’t take action.

The best thing you can do is to give them homework.  If they come to you and they ask you for advice, point them to the next task.

I also want will add that it’s totally OK if someone doesn’t have the same huge goals that you do!  Don’t get upset if someone just wants to come in to make enough to get their own products covered.  The important thing to note is to find out what THEY want and then show them how to get there but ultimately it is up to THEM to make things happen.

And, if you want help with generating qualified leads through attraction marketing, check out my review of the marketing program I use.  It’s a very powerful Internet Marketing Community that you can plug into that teaches you how to use attraction marketing to brand YOU so that YOU can become a valuable source and authority in your niche!

  1. I used to waste time with a lot of people and I was burnt out, until I also discovered what you just shared. Giving them homework allows you to identify potential leaders and who to work with. Thanks for sharing Sherri.

  2. The age old comment, “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t force them to drink!”. Giving a task, a.k.a. “homework” is a great tip & a great way to find out not only who is serious, but like you said Sherri, who’s at which goal or speed level.

  3. Sherri super excited to be reminded of this tip so many times I have run into this in my own business!!! Thank you for sharing this!! Your passion for helping others is evident!!! Thank you for your leadership!!!
