MLM Tips: Simple Strategy to Get People Reaching Out to You

How would you like a super simple strategy that will cause people to actually reach out to you about your product, service, or opportunity? We all would, right? That’s what I’m here to share with you today. I have one simple tip that’s going to pique curiosity and have people raising their hands to learn what you have to offer.

Are you asking yourself what the super simple tip is? I don’t blame you! Here it goes: Create curiosity when you’re posting. Think of it as a movie spoiler! The best way to get people reaching out about your services is to stop giving away the ending to your movie. Come on now, who hasn’t logged onto Facebook to have the suspense spoiled? Raise your hand.

Actually, if I didn’t have a chance to watch it, I would have to close my eyes on Sunday nights when Game of Thrones would come on (unfortunately I have to wait so long until Season 8 starts but I digress).

My point is, when you post something, don’t mention your company’s name. Don’t post pictures where viewers can easily spot what products you’re selling. When you do that, someone who may have had an interest will turn to Google rather than you. That’s when one of two things will happen: They’re either going to find negative reviews, or they’re going to reach out to someone else.  (Want to see how I’ve done this to get over 150+ customers into my network marketing company within a 6 month period?  Check out this video and you’ll see what I mean.)

That doesn’t have to happen, however. The solution is to create posts that grabs attention, and will have people asking “What is this product? What is she doing? What is this? I want to know!”

In a sense, it’s similar to watching a preview to a movie. What was the last flick you desperately wanted to watch? Ask yourself what it was that made you want to see it. Chances are, it was the preview that gave you just enough information to say “Oh my gosh! This movie looks awesome. Babe, let’s go see this!”

But, I’m willing to bet that if the preview gave away the ending, there’s a decent chance that you wouldn’t be amped to throw away your 401K at the theater. Treat your marketing strategy in that same manner.  This is something I’ve learned that has served me extremely well some from of the industry’s top leaders. 

For instance, I recently recruited one of my longtime friends into my primary opportunity. She’s never worked in this industry, so she wasn’t sure what to do. Right away, we began to teach her about attraction marketing.

The first thing we told her was to “NOT mention your company name or your products. Definitely share your story, and start creating value-driven content that’s going to attract a clientele.”

Jamie, I have to give you a huge shout out because you nailed it out of the park. Within an hour of creating her first ever value-driven post, five people reached out or commented, wanting to know more. Had she shared her company’s name or given the link to her website, she wouldn’t have had the same level of interest—probably none.

The goal is to be the gatekeeper—be stingy with your links. You want to force people who have an interest in what you’re doing, to reach out to you.

What happens is that it allows you to start asking them questions.

Get to know them. Figure out what their goals are, and what they’re looking for. When you’re able to figure out someone else’s needs, you’re a part of the solution via the product, your service, or your opportunity. You make the process a lot smoother. Suddenly, you’re not yet another person who’s just out there pitching and promoting. It makes a world of difference, doesn’t it?

Again, the best and most simple thing you can do is to not mention your company’s name. Provide tips. Have a call-to-action that will cause people to raise their hands and reach out to you. In turn, it’s going to increase your closing rate while you build deeper, more meaningful relationships.
