MLM Tips: Are You Attracting or Repelling People?

If you are looking at someone else’s post and it repels you, chances are if you put up a similar post like that with your company name and your company products, it’s going to repel other people too. The only difference is that, we like it and we think it’s okay because it’s our own commercial (our own posts).  Am I right or am I right?

But what do you do when a commercial comes on TV? Chances are you’re going to get up, walk away and do something else because you just want the meat and the content, right? You want only the goods.

So think about that when it comes to your own posts on social media. I highly recommend that you go through your own news feed and ask yourself if you would follow you. Is the stuff that you’re posting entertaining people, educating people and inspiring people? If it doesn’t, chances are it is only repelling people. You also need to put yourself in your own position and ask, “Okay, what type of posts am I attracted to?”

When it comes to attracting people, you want to think about, first and foremost, who you’re trying to attract. What are the pains, problems and questions? Then, you can start creating value driven content that’s solving their problems and serving them versus one you think might bring in a sale or two.

Trust me, when you shift your focus to serving versus pitching or selling, you will go WAY FURTHER than those invaluable posts that so many are doing (heck, I did them myself for like 4 years so I’m not hating, I just want to you to not continue to make those same mistakes).

Here’s my big tip for you

Think about some different Fan Pages that may have a similar audience to you. Then, start going over to those Fan Pages and looking at the type of content they’re putting up. Look at what’s getting a lot of engagement and let that inspire you to in turn think of different things that you can start posting on social media that’s going to attract your ideal customers or business partners.

Remember that when it comes to Facebook, people come online because they want to be entertained, educated and inspired. They don’t come with their credit cards in hand hoping to buy some mlm products.

I’ll be diving into this later this week as I’m hosting two webinars on what I did that allowed me to quadruple my annual income in one year and how you can do it too.  If you want check it out, you can register and grab all the details here!

  2. Enjoyed your post, Sherri. Too many people post with no thought process. You have to really think about what you’re posting, who are you posting for and why. What’s the strategy? There should be one! 🙂
