5 Simple, Yet Effective Tips For Your FB Fan Page

5 Simple, Yet Effective Tips For Your FB Fan Page

Are you looking to grow your facebook presence but unsure where to start or how to go about it?  If so, today I’ll be sharing 5 simple, yet effective tips for your fb fan page (aka: business page).

5 Simple, Yet Effective Tips For Your FB Fan Page

Tip #1 – Engage with your followers.

As people start commenting, don’t just sit and say, “Cool, somebody has commented and that’s awesome!”  Make sure that you’re going in and you’re actually engaging with those followers. Make a point to check in once or twice a day, even if it’s for 15 minutes to go back and reply to people.  By doing this, it will help to create more engagement and those people are likely to comment even more in the future.

Tip #2 – Reach out to those who have liked your page.

Reach out to those who have not only liked your page but also those who are engaging and start building that relationship.  Remember, those are the people who have raised their hands and have an interest in what you’re saying.

Tip #3 – Boost some of those value driven posts.

When it comes to the posts you put up on your Fan Page, organic reach is going to be lower in the beginning.  Let’s face it, you could have the best content in the world but if you don’t have eyeballs on what you’re doing, you’re not going to get anywhere, right?

So, if you’re impatient like me and you don’t want to grow your Fan Page all organically, a great way to get your content seen is to boost some of your better posts.

Now, there are a few different ways you can do to boost your post.  Once you put up a post over on your Fan Page, there’s a little blue button that says “boost post.” You can simply boost to people who like your page, to people who like your page and their friends, to specific people of interest, or to another Fan Page with similar audience like yours, etc.

Tip #4 – Give people a way to dive deeper.

If you’re not generating leads, the first question to ask is, “Do I have a call-to-action in my content?” A call-to-action is simply giving people a chance to dive deeper with you—whether that be to comment below, to reach out to you, to give people a free download, to offer a free training, etc.

Another tip when it comes to your call-to-action (when doing video) is to not only say it at the end of your video but also write it in the description of your post.  This way, more people can see it without having to watch your entire video.

Keep in mind that if you aren’t putting offers in front of people and you aren’t giving them an opportunity to become a lead, then that’s really on you, not on them.  Have something to offer your audience that allows those who are interested to take the next step with you.

Not all will but some will.  However, you can’t assume that people know the next step you want them to take.

Tip #5 – Post with intent.

Being very intentional when you’re posting is really thinking about the pains, problems and questions people in your target market have.  Then, start putting up content that’s educational, entertaining or inspiring and will serve them!

The big key here is don’t post just for the sake of posting.  You want to think quality over quantity and ask yourself, “Is this something that my target audience would find valuable in some way?”  If it does, post it and if not, don’t. 🙂

  1. Great Tips Sherri! I especially like the last one. I constantly post things that motivate and inspire my audience. This causes me to get people reaching out to me every week, thanking me for getting them through a rough time.
