4 Types of Social Media Posts To Help Create More Engagement

#1 Blog posts

The first type of content that you can start posting is blog posts.  You can put up your own blog post or you can always use the content or share other people’s blog posts.

#2 Lifestyle

The second type of post you can use is lifestyle. Lifestyle is great but a lot of people don’t really do this (but should). This allows you to take people on a journey with you and let them get a glimpse into your world. So, if you are out with your kids on a Tuesday afternoon, snap a picture and put it up. If you’re at a company event with your teammates or you’re out having fun with your family on vacation, take pictures of that and share it or even shoot a video.

#3 Ask questions

The third type of post that you can put is where you’re simply asking your audience questions.  This can be as simple as a status update.  You can also post pictures and ask which they like best “A or B”. Another example could be to put up a picture about success and ask people, “What does success look like to you?”  Or you ask different questions like “Do you go Black Friday shopping? Yes or no?” or maybe “What’s the number 1 must-have product that you can’t live without?”

Remember, you can be super creative when it comes to asking questions. I like to put up questions that don’t typically take somebody too long to respond. So start making a list of all the questions you can ask and want to know.  It can either be business-related or something personal but have fun with it.

#4 Tutorial

Last but not the least, the fourth type of post that I want to share with you are tutorials. This could be a combination of different things, you could do a regular tutorial just from your cellphone showing people how to do something or you can do a tutorial from your desktop on “How to start creating a Fan Page?” or obviously something that relates to your audience but you get the picture.  So now, start making a list of some things that your audience would find beneficial and start creating some fun tutorials for them.

  1. Your 4 types of social media posts are so on point Sherri awesome share. So many people share on social media without a purpose and you’ve given some great shares on what EXACTLY to share for what purpose.
