10 Productivity Tips

  1. Prioritize. Try to avoid all the busy work and only do what matters.  One suggestion is separating everything out into P1, P2, P3 priority levels.  P1s take the most priority at that time, then P2 and P3.  For example, if you’re writing an eBook, that might not be a P1, you might be able to work on that as you go.  I’m going to be hosting a webinar on social media marketing next month and because I’m not doing it this week, it’s not really a P1 priority but if I’ve got extra time, I’ll go back and work on as I go.  One thing that should be a priority, especially when it comes to growing your business, (if you don’t have leads coming in) is prospecting!
  2. Set long and short-term goals.  I would suggest 5 year goals, 1 year goals, and then breaking that down even further into quarterly or monthly goals.  So, if you want to sponsor 50 people into your business next year, break it down into monthly goals, that’s roughly about four people a month that you would need to sponsor. Then you can break that down into weekly goals and figure out how many people you would need to talk to in order to sponsor that one person every week.
  3. Create your schedule in a calendar. For me, I’m very much the old-fashioned type where I actually have a calendar that I write things down in. I know a lot of people will use the calendar on their phone, on their computer. With technology being what it is these days, you can put something on your phone and it’s connected to all of your different devices, making it pretty easy and convenient. Another tip would be to create color coding in your planner to where you can break it down and see where your time is being spent.  Prospecting can be one color, creating content another, and so on. I even have in my calendar, household task and family time, that way when I’m color coding, I know where my time’s being spent and can adjust if needed.  Do what works best for you.
  4. Go back and review each week ahead of time so that you’re prepared and you know what’s ahead of you.
  5. Get enough sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep, it’s going to be a lot harder for you to focus on your tasks. I know for me, and this is different for everyone, they need a lot of sleep. Some people, they do much better on less sleep. For me, if I get too much sleep, I tend to drag and I’m not as focused. You know how much your body needs to function at a higher level.

  1. Great post Sherri

Sleep is an important one. When you find out what your body needs for sleep make sure you stick to it. I write affirmations telling myself when it’s time to sleep and when I will wake up.

Cool thing is that I now go to bed and wake up without needing an alarm clock since using this technique

    1. That’s pretty cool Lisa. I never thought of using affirmations for something like sleep. It’s a good idea though.
